I was looking for new flat irons and came across Croc Infrared Flat Irons. I immediately looked them up on Folicia to check out the reviews. Folicia actually had the Croc 2 Infrared Flat Irons listed on their Top Picks for thick, coarse and/or curly hair below the shoulder and it had great reviews from consumers.
Heres the run down:

I just colored my hair, so maintaining its moisture, along with taming my thick hair, were SUPER important to me. At a costly $160, I was a little worried that they might not work as good as my Amikas, but luckily, I have a 30% off coupon and ULTA has a great return policy, so I purchased it.
The first time I used it, I didnt use the infrared feature (I actually didnt know how to turn that feature on). I went up to 420 to test them out. My hair felt very silky and didnt have that burnt hair smell, which was a plus. I used them again on my mom, who has fine hair. I actually figured out how to use the infrared feature with her (push the power button twice). I noticed a difference when I used the infrared on a strand of her hair, it felt more soft and silky. Usually, she would get on me about spending $160 on some flat irons, but she was pretty satisfied with the product and results.
So heres what I think:
Love the digital temperature control
Love that it heats up super fast
Love that automatic cut off
Love that my hair gets straight with a single pass
Love that I didnt have deal with the burnt hair smell
Heres what I recommend:
Get a warranty! Majority of the negative comments came from a defect on the iron after constant use over a couple of months/years.
Use a heat protectate product.
If your hair is color treated, relaxed and/or not in good condition, dont crank up the heat.
